Hello cousins...

I'm having a hard time finding the source for a court case I found a few years back regarding John Paul Vaught in 1734, Orange County VA....

Here's the info---a quote---I found as a snippet in my files, and the source citation is missing. I know I had it at some point. Anyone out there have this and can confirm the source for me? I've looked all over the place and through Google to no avail....

"John Paul Vaught, did with swords, staves, knives, and lathing hammer, break and enter the house of the petitioners and made an assault on Mary and did beat, wound and evil intreat her so that of her life she did despair."

The only other thing I know about it is that the case was dismissed... can anyone help???

Thanks!

Steve Vaught
