Doing Civil War research in Macomb County, Michigan. Have obit of an Israel Wise, born in West Virginia November 23, 1844. According to obit, he served in Civil War. He moved to Mt. Clemens, Michigan in 1919 where he passed away in 1932. Seeking info on unit he served in, service record, if he served under alias, or whatever else can be supplied. Have not been able to identify him, his unit, etc. He was married in 1867 to Caroline L. Hillery. Had one son (Thomas) and two daughters, one was Etta and other one was Mrs. Arie Dell Johnson of W.
