August was my great-grandfather. He lived in Ft.Wayne, IN. Do you have any record of his mother and father? I think his father's name was August Ergot Pelz also and his mother's name was Ann Linze?. He had a sister Martha,Sally, and a brother named Wiliam. I know he had other siblings but I don't know their names. I believe that my great-great-grandfather lived in Decatur on a farm. My great-great-grandmother was a healer. I'm not sure if they came from Berlin or Dunzig, Germany. If you know of any of my ancestors I'd appreciate the information. My great-great-grandfather was well off. He gave my great-grandfather several houses and he lost them. My great-grandmother's name was Ethel Robison. They had quite a few children. Some of them are still living in the Ft.Wayne area. My great-grandfather was a street sweeper in Ft. Wayne. His brother owned Pelz Junk Yard.

The name Pelz comes fromthe Palatinate area
in Germany. It was on the Northwestern part.
My Grandfather was from Prussia in the 1880's.
What years are you looking for?

Edward C. Pelz, August Ergot Pelz, Sophie Rhinke(Rinke)?.

My grandfather Charles Pelz had a sister Louise
who was on the Passenger list from Germany. But at that time
she was the only sister. If you live in LA
the Family History Library on Santa Monica is
great for information. I found most of my info
at their library. I'm still interested to hear what you
found though. Bye Cher
