A wonderful and free resource for more information on your surnames (civil registration, etc.) is the LDS (Mormon) Family History Center IGI records, both the microfiched and computerized versions; have the volunteer put the largest lens on the microfiche reader for you for easy reading. You can make a photocopy of birth/christening/marriage information pertaining to your surnames in each county in Ireland for a quarter for a whole page right at the microfiche reader! The majority of the information pertains to the 1860s, but some before and some after.
