I am looking for my grandfather, Norman Hopkins Buckingham. He was born in Camden, NJ around 1898 to Ida and James Buckingham. I think they later moved to Philly. He joined the Navy was stationed in Norfolk, VA, met and married my grandmother Constance Lambert. He was supposedly killed in an automobile accident in 1955.

Merry, I am descended from the CT Buckingham line through my ancestor Sarah Buckinhgam who married Ward Post. Their daughter, Monisa A. Post b. 22 OCT 1796 in Essex, CT married Judah Mayo Simmons a ship captain from Essex, CT. Any info you have on the connections between the POST/SIMMONS/BUCKINGHAM/MAYO familys would be a wonderful find. I have more info on the BUCKINGHAM line to share, just don't have it with me at the office. Did you know that a Buckingham was instrumental in the founding of YALE College?

Hi Merry, I am married to William E. Buckingham Jr.'s son. William E. Buckingham III. I just talked to Buck to confirm that I had the right people and I do. Your mom if not mistaken is Hope and your dad is Red. Let me know if this is correct. I would love any information to add to my family tree. I have way back to Thomas Buckingham in the 1600's
