Surnames: therkelsen, klenck
The brother of my great great grandfather , Christian T. Therkelsen went to America in 1915. He married May d klenck, doughter of Carrie G. Swan and Henry C. Klenck, in Billings,Yellowstone Montana in 1920. It looks as they might have gotten 2 children, Frances and Stella but i am not sure. So im desperately looking for someone who may know something,or be able to help. Would be great to find people in America :)

It looks like May Klenck Therkelson remarried- Here is Stella's marriage, and she is listed as the daughter of May Klenck and Stanley Gallant
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F3QZ-SHY

BILLINGS GAZETTE AUGUST 15, 1951

BILIINGS COUPLE WEB
Roundup, Aug. 0.—Hervey Morton
and Stella Gallant, both of Billings,
were married Sunday in the parsonage
of the Methodist church by
the Rev. C. P. Crowe. Attendants
were Mrs. C. P. Crowe and Miss Margaret
Klenck of Billings.

I found Hervey Morton's obit, and it did not mention Stella.

I believe May died in Billings in 1980, with surname as Klenck. I have not found an obit.

By the information that you have submitted , it looks like we may have a connection that I would like to pursue. The person that you have described is my father and my mother is May Klenck. I have a picture of my father, that mother gave me years ago. My name is Francis and Stella is my half-sister. My father left my mother when I was an infant,so I never knew him.I was told that I was born in a home for unwed mothers in July 1925,in Spokane Wash ,operated by the Salvation Army.Apparently my mother changed the spelling of our name.

Francis,
I am so glad you found this. I am not related, but the original poster nitsirk 88 is - I assume she got in touch with you on facebook?
It looks like Christian died in San Francisco. You can order a copy of his death certificate. You would only need the informational certificate, scroll down to the bottom of the page to see how to order http://www.sfgov2.org/index.aspx?page=3330
The death index has him as Chris Therkelsen, born August 15, 1890 and died on January 18, 1955. HIs social security number indicates he applied for SS in California.

You might try posting on the San Francisco message board to see if someone will look for an obit for him. There may not be one, unless he remarried or had other family there.
