Mary Jane Falvey was born somewhere in Ireland and emigrated to New York State(Glens Falls area). She was born in 1863 and died in 1950, in Ohio(Cleveland area)

She married a man named Russell, who worked in a Brick Kiln. They had at least 2 children, William(my father) and his brother, John. If I had sense enough to ask my father for more information about her, I wouldn't have to post this message.

If anyone can help, please e-mail me at cadsyn@apk.net. Thank you

Laurie, I don't know any more than what is in the previous message. Mary Jane was born in Ireland in 1863. She came to this country and married a Russell. She had at least two children, John, and William Benedict Russell, my father(1886-1966) I know she died in the Cleveland, Ohio area in 1950, and is burried in Kent, Ohio. Sorry I can't be of more help, Bob Russell

Hello Gary,

I'm sorry but I do not recognize the names you have. My paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Falvey(1863-1950), had only one brother and two sisters that I am aware of. Her parents were Patrick Falvey(1836-1914), b. in Ireland, and Jane Mahoney(1840-1908), also born in Ireland. They came to the US about 1860. The other children were William, Bridgett and Johanna. Our family has always thought Mary Jane was born in Ireland, howerer, I have not found any record to verify that.

I wish you good luck in your searching. Bob Russell

Though 2 years later, I too was browsing the Falvey name. My gggrandmother was Kathryn Falvey Callahan, born in Lemont IL, parents of Ireland and lived in Chicago near the river on Archer Ave.. That would make us distant cousins Mr. Burke. Though Kathryn married Michael Callahan, not Walter. They are buried with the family at St. James the Sag, cemetary in Lemont IL.
