How do you figure into this GLOYNE family? I have been researching for many years, and have looked into this MT. GLOYNE family, and have been in touch with two of the decendants still living in MT., and NE. My husband's family is from Arkansas, they are also GLOYNES, but do not know who the fellow was other than "MR. GLOYNE". The GLOYNES from MT. and the original GLOYNE that intermarried with the Cherokee lady,Lulu Owl, were from England by way of Canada . Please write back, and lets get together on this GLOYNE mystery. Thank you.

This is off the subject but I am looking for a Judy Gloyne whose family lived in Kingston, Tennessee in the 1950's. She and her family moved to Cherokee, NC.

I suspect she would be of the Cherokee branch of the family. I do not know them sorry to say. Our Gloyne came from England to New York. The Cherokee branch intermarried into the English Gloynes through Lulu Owl, she was an Army nurse, and met Mr Gloyne during, I believe, his stay in the hospital. There is still family in North Carolina, try the phone information.
