I have information to share in exchange for information on the Robbins family that migrated from Randolph County, N.C. and settled near Colmar Ridge in Bell County, KY. Alexander Robbins married Levisa Purcifull in 1853. I am a direct descendant of their line. Also looking for any information about John L. Lewis of Bell County and Polly Sizemore Lewis (his wife). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nancy

Gail, Thank you for responding to my query on the Robbins line. My gr-grgrandfather was Alexander Robbins who married Levisa Purcifull in Harlan County in the year of 1853 according to the census of 1870 Census of Bell County. Is his name William Alexander? Also, is her name Mary Levisa or Levisa Mary or just plain Levisa? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have some information and will be happy to share what I have with you. You are welcome to e-mail me. Thank you so much! Nancy J. Corbin

Nancy, Thought I would also post a response here for others to see and maybe help us with our John Alexander Robbins. My John Alexander was born abt. 1838, died abt. 1910 and was married to Mary Margaret "PoP" Pursifull. Levicy or Vicy or Vincy Pursifull was married to John Alexander Robbins (although I've seen her listed as being married to a William Alexander Robbins) Both were listed as being born abt. 1836 and died 1906. Does anyone else have more info on these two Robbins? We need your help!! Thanks. Gail
