1900 search engine is not working

I am trying to narrow down a search by birth year, name, state, county and so on. Whenever I go into the 1900 census and use the search engine to narrow the categories down it will not work. It tells me there are no matches which is wrong. If I do the general search it shows people, when I do the search to narrow down the categories it does not work. I can take a person that it shows in the general search and use those same categories to narrow down people and then it tells me there are not matches. Something is wrong with the search engine for the 1900 census. It use to work, it no longer does. What happened?
