Tree not working right

I can't add a second husband to this one lady...it says he's been added successfully, it shows him in the list of people, it shows the marriage in the time line view, but he doesn't show up as an alternate husband for her anywhere except the family group sheet view, and there her first husband doesn't show up! The "alternate husbands" function doesn't work for her in any view.
I have checked to see that there are no doubles in the tree and I've reloaded the page so it's showing the most current view. I don't get it, it's mystifying and frustrating. Has anyone experienced anything like this and what can I do about it?
