Interesting. I hadn't thought of that before. However, I use TNG for most of my genealogy. It is a wonderfully flexible and powerful web based genealogy program (designed by an extremely talented Mormon from Utah.)
It refers to adding a husband or wife, but once you do you can change the gender of that person. I played with it and changed the gender of my ex-husband - that was fun!
