A HOAX
Mr Boultbee writes to the Times -
Sir, a paragraph is going the round of the papers, giving a pretended account of the sailing of a Dutch emigrant ship for Australia stating that she was accompanied by a chaplain, the Rev. Thomas Pownall Boultbee, M.A., Fellow of St John's College Cambridge etc. May I beg you to insert this letter, giving my absolute contradiction to the story, which is a pure fabrication and contemptible hoax?"
