Hi, I have found a record for one of my ancestors from Sweden, and I am wondering how do find out what ship the left sweden on? Could it be the "Se Andersson" on the record below???
Here is the record I have from Ancestry.com:
Emigranten Populär, 1783-1951
(Swedish Emigration Records, 1783-1951)
Name: Emil K Löwenborg Ande
Birth Year: abt 1876
Gender: Man (Male)
Place of Origin: Söderhamn Gävleborg Län, Sverige
Destination: Portland Oregon
Record Date: 11 maj 1906 (11 May 1906)
Port of Departure: Göteborg
Database Name: EmiHamn
Occupation/Title: Se Andersson
Archive Call Number: 80:563:945
Traveling Companion: M
Principal Person: Löwenborg Ande Emil K
I know that once they left Sweden they arrived in England, boarding the SS Lake Erie at Liverpool, sailing on to Quebec before coming to Oregon.
Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
William
