It looks to me as if the person doing the indexing was sloppy, and picked up Battista's 7788 New York destination code from the next line instead of from his line.
With Ellis Island open by 1895 no one seems to understand why the Castle Garden web-site worked to index this passenger list in any case, since it is already indexed by EIDB.
