Surnames: MAYNARD, MULLINS
Very interested in knowing about how and why your relative, Eli MULLINS was killed in the famous feud.
Inez is just across the river from Crum, W VA and the subject of the book, SCREAMING WITH THE CANNIBALS by Lee Maynard who also wrote Crum about growing up in Crum.
I was in Inez about a year ago and saw a phone listing for a woman named Patty Maynard. Since that's also my wife's name, we almost called her to see if we were related in some way.
We didn't call, but two nights later we heard that a woman named Patty Maynard had been killed in Inez the very night we started to call her. I still get cold chills just thinking about it.
Does anyone know of any other direct involvement of MAYANRDS in the feud?
