Hello Roger-
Your post got my attention. My ancestor, a John Cox, was said to have gone to east Florida in the 1780s and was probably a loyalist. But, he was said to have drowned there around 1787, a few years after most loyalists had fled the area. We're trying to find out any info on him, and how many loyalists remained in east Florida in the late 1780s. Do you know anything about the loyalists in east Florida in the late 1780s? Thanks.
