Hello,
I was originally born a Wallace. However when I was 6 years old my stepfather adopted me and changed my last name to Armstrong, so on my family tree I have my last name showing as Armstrong.
So in order to prevent confusion for future generations, how do I need to show my last name on my family tree? Do I need to put my original last name in parenthesis or brackets? Something like this:

(WALLACE) ARMSTRONG----|
|
----- PALMER
What is the proper way to do this?
