      <title>Re: Joseph Brevard Kershaw</title>
      <link>http://boards.Ancestry.com.au/topics.obits2/51143.1/mb.ashx</link>
<description>Great bio on Kershaw! Wonder if you could help me track something down? My question is, why is his middle name Brevard? Typically it is a family connection, but I'm unable to find it. He had an aunt Rebecca Kershaw (b.1778/79) who married John Brown and John McCaa, and there was another Rebecca Kershaw (b.1775), daughter of Ely Kershaw and apparently not related, who married Joseph Brevard. Could there be a mixup with these Rebecca's and they really are one and same person? From what I can find this Joseph Brevard was born in NC and died in Camden, SC in 1821, the year before Joseph Brevard Kershaw was born in Camden. So, on one hand there is the Camden connectin with a Joseph Brevard; however, without finding a family connection I'm reluctant to make that assumption. Thoughts?</description>
