That vessel's info. is as follows: "Ruby", registration no. S861086, official no. 042404, constructed in Wallace, Cumberland Co., NS in 1861. It had 1 deck, 2 masts, was a "Brigantine", 97 ft. long, 23 ft. wide, gross & net tonnage of 136, registered in 1861, official closure year 1862 "Lost at Sea". The owner was Abraham BARTLETT, a farmer/planter residing in Brigus, Conception Bay, Newfoundland. The owner was the builder, with all 64 shares.
