Thanks for confirming that Postnikoff was your pre-adoption birth surname, and that you were born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1972. I presume that you do not know the names of your birth parents, and that Postnikoff may have been either your birth-mother's or birth-father's surname.

I can tell you that Postnikoff is quite a common surname among people of Doukhobor heritage in Saskatchewan, and indeed throughout Western Canada. In particular, during the first half of the twentieth century, Postnikoffs in Saskatchewan could be found in the districts of Arran, Kamsack, Veregin, Kylemore, Watson, Blaine Lake and Langham, Saskatchewan. It is reasonable to presume that at least one of your birth parents may have came from one of these areas.

I will keep searching the records I have available and try to assist you. In the meantime, a number of Postnikoff family trees have been compiled by researchers, and I would invite anyone with information to either post a message or else contact Kevin directly to assist him in finding his birth family.
