The following information, in comma-delimited format, represents Russian Molokans who traveled from their native Russia to San Francisco, CA via Yokohama, Japan. In order to be consistent with Russian surname spelling, I used the Origin and Meaning of Molokan Surnames file found on the Molokan Homepage.

Every attempt was made to ensure validity of these records. I looked at each one to ensure the spelling was accurate. In several cases, I found it was in error and took the liberty to correct the spelling for the surname. Your personal viewing of the manifest should corroborate my findings.

I downloaded the manifest sheets for these two arrival dates from the Ancestry site. They offer a data base for subscribers titled, San Francisco Passenger Lists. I did my search using the residence field of "Russia", "Turkey" and "Armenia". Only the "Russia" keyword produced the files you see.

This will be the first of several posts that will list Russian Molokan passengers by ship arriving at the Port of San Francisco. I will download the manifest sheets for each ship and will make the files available to those wishing backup for their family research.
