S.F. Boy Drowned in San Jose Water Tank
Sam Lascutoff, 16, of 850 Wisconsin street, was drowned yesterday morning in a water tank on the George A. Fisher ranch north of San Jose when he found himself unable to get out of the tank after diving in. Young Lascutoff dived into the ten-foot tank, which at the time contained about six feet of water, according to reports to the Coroner, and when he decided to get out he found himself unable to scale the remaining four feet of the tank’s wall. He called for his brother, who arrived too late to take him out alive. Dr. L. Mendelsohn of Saratoga was called and applied resuscitation methods, which were futile. The youth had been on the Frisher ranch for several days with other members of the Lascutoff family.
