Kerman Youth's Hearing Set in Auto Death Case
Joe Nazaroff, Kerman youth charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Mrs. Jennie Bizeoff (Bizieff), 65, who was struck by his automobile early this week near Kerman, was held today under $3,500 bond fixed by Justice Earle J. Church of Fresno.
Nazaroff's preliminary hearing was set for July 11th.

Inquest Jury Holds Nazaroff Intoxicated When Auto Hit Woman
Following a coroner's inquest late yesterday in which a jury found he was under the influence of liquor when his automobile struck and fatally injured Mrs. Jennie Bizeoff (Bizieff), 65, of Kerman, on Belmont Avenue near Trinity Avenue, Joe Nazaroff, 22, of Kerman, was charged with manslaughter.
The charge was brought by deputy sheriffs despite the expressed wish of relatives of Mrs. Bizeoff (Bizieff), who also are distant relatives of Nazaroff, that no steps be taken to prosecute the youth.
Mrs. Bizeoff (Bizieff), died at the general hospital of crushed ribs and internal injuries suffered when Nazaroff's car, traveling without lights, knocked her down and ran over her as she was walking to her home at Belmont and Humboldt Avenues from church with her husband.
The complaint was issued by Chief Deputy District Attorney Rae E. Carter after facts in connection with the accident were revealed at the inquest.

Relatives Refuse to Prosecute Kerman Autoist, 22, in Fatal Mishap
Run down by an automobile while she was walking from church at Belmont and Trinity Avenues, near Kerman, to her home at Humboldt and Belmont Avenues, Mrs. Jennie Bizieff, 65, last night received injuries from which she died in the general hospital here a short time later.
Deputy Sheriffs W. H. Collins and R. Roy Landers are holding Joe Nazaroff, 22, of Kerman, under arrest pending an inquest this afternoon.
Relatives of the woman, however, said they would not bring any charges against Nazaroff, who officers said, was under the influence of liquor and was driving without lights of his automobile turned on. Relatives said Mrs. Bizieff and Nazaroff were distantly related.
Mrs. Bizieff suffered multiple lacerations and bruises and crushed ribs.
She was knocked down while she and her husband were walking on opposite sides of the road. Nazaroff stopped and then went to his home where he retired telling his father about the accident. His father went to the scene to offer assistance.
He took Mrs. Bizieff of Dr. J.C. Drake at Kerman where she was pronounced in a serious condition. She was brought from Kerman to the general hospital.
The officers took Nazaroff into custody at his home at Lake and Belmont avenues.
Coroner J. H. Kennedy was to hold an inquest this afternoon when the woman's husband, John Bizieff, was to be questioned further. The officers announced they will decide after the inquest whether to take action themselves against Nazaroff, contrary to the expressed wishes of members of the woman's family.
