Kern Dairyman Suffers Fatal Hurts in Crash
BAKERSFIELD (Kern Co.)
Sept. 17 - M. E. Shubin, 40, a dairyman, died this morning in Kern General Hospital from a fractured skull and other injuries, suffered in an automobile accident last night three miles west of Wasco.
C. M. Whitehill, 30, an Associated Oil Company employee, also was brought to the hospital in a critical condition following the collision between his car and the car driver by Shubin. The pair were given first aid by Dr. E. S. Fogg of Wasco and then taken to the county hospital in a Flickinger-Digler Ambulance.
An investigation by traffic officers indicated that Shubin was driving his automobile in a reckless manner, allegedly while intoxicated.
