As for the directories I have been able to get all the years where the Maschke's lived in the Detroit area.

I believe that they attended St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, but I wasn't able to get any where by calling them asking for information.

William was to old to be drafted in WW1 but that was how I figured out that he had a brother and that they lived in the same area. Some of his nephews were drafted.
