I think you are right that the Wilton record reflects the fact it was their home although it is strange that the dates are one day after the other! therefore suggesting two weddings, but I am now left with the mystery of why he (and his son and grandson) chose to come to Southampton to marry? When they did everything else in Wilton. And only the men came to Southampton. And it wasn't because the bride was expecting, as I have checked birth dates..lol.
