I am looking for information on Georg von Thelen born about 1450 in Thoelau, Oberfranken, Bavaria and his family. He married Margarethe Gropp about 1474 in the same place and had 6 children: Hans b. about 1477, Barbara b. about 1483, Balthasar b. about 1485, Katharina b. about 1479, Margaretha b. about 1481 and Veit born about 1475. Veit married Anna von Dobeneck about 1500.

I notice some time later on the 11th July 1671 the marriage of Marie Brigitte von Thelen to a Johann Adam von Shoenfeldt and am wondering if she is from the family of Georg.

I am seeking to establish whether there is some relationship to the Thelens and von Thelens that were in the Rheinland and Westphalia and also the origin of the surname.
