Classification: Query
Surnames: Juzan, Tonty, Tontey, Tonti, Liette
I descend Michelle de Liette de Juzan of the King's cabins, Versallies, France; by her son, Mobile, Alabama, marine aide Maj. Pierre Gabriel de Juzan. He was kin to Canadian marine, aide Maj. Charles Pierre de Liette, both killed 1730's Battles of Ackia, Tupelo, Missisippi Military District. They bere kin to the de Tonty family of France (from Italy) and colonial America. The de Liettes and de Tonty's, in Paris, were called "Ancient Italians". The de Tonty family "invented" the de Tonty system of insurance.
