Hello again,

after long years of further search, I can be more precise, since I ve regognized that may family is descendant of family Budacic (Bodazza, Bodaza, Bodacia, Bodacic(h), Budacich, Bodatia, Bodazia).

Question:
Does anyone know, what the origin of the family with the name Bodazza (aka Bodaza, Bodacia, Bodacic(h), Budacic(h), Bodatia, Bodazia), for which it is known that they have been accepted as nobiles of Poglizza n 1483 (see article 96 of the Statute of Poljica) is?

Background information:
As far as I know a family with this surname existed as nobiles in Ragusa (Dubrovnik) but at least the male members, except Frater Marinus de Bodazza, where killed due to a revolution they failed with.

Possibly some of the family members somehow survived and moved to Poglizza. Maybe with help of Venice, since some of the Bodazza negotiated with Venice as diplomats from Ragusa.

Maybe the family members who survived flew to Venice and have there been accepted as venetian vasalls and have been send to Poljica to ensure venetian control.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

EdeP
