Mary Towne was my nine-times-great-grandmother. I had always been told we were descended from accused witches, but just recently received a letter that was sent to my grandmother telling her of her ancestor's tragic story. In the letter, her name was Mary (Towne) Estey, and when I found her marker at the memorial (through a Google search) it was spelled Easty. I am not sure which is the correct spelling of her married name, but we have traced our lineage back to the 1200s and I am sure this is her.
