hello, I have a Thomas Barnes in my ancestry, but arrived in New Haven, in the 1600's. My great grandfather wrote three books on the Barnes family, and Thomas Barnes of Hartford is also there. His name was Trescott Barnes.(gr g) Have you seen these books? He collected information all over the country. Perhaps I can look for some names, if you do not have access to them. Thomas Barnes of Hartford is listed in Book one. I can give you the info that is there, if you would like it.
