Allow me to fill you in from my family tree. They are my great grandfathers as well. Christopher had three wives. Phoebe Martin, Marie Martin (Prower),Prudence Martin, aka Prudence Deacon. It seems that with the first wife, no children, and she is not on the mayflower list, so apparently either she died in England. With second wife, Marie: Solomon Martin,1601-1620 this was his step-son from his wifes previous marriage, John Langemore Martin,1607-jan1621, who might have been adopted...he traveled with them on the Mayflower, and also died in that first winter, Nathaniel Martin, birth 1609 is believed to have died in England in childhood, shortly before the trip on the Mayflower, George B Martin, Sr.,birth 1618-Nov 23, 1686, With the third wife, Francis Martin birth 1599, and Alice Nea Bishop clark, birth 1616-Oct 4, 1648... It's possible he had two of these wives at the same time. The children were all born in England. Records of the Mayflower did not always show young children, although, records have it that the captain had mentioned there were young children. Alice died by hanging for murdering her 4 year old daughter from a previous marriage to George Clark., (alice was also 4 when her parents died, and raised by fellow passengers who adopted her), she left behind three other children from the both the Clark, and Bishop marriages.George had two wives...Hannah green and Susannah North. Hannah had a child Hannah Worthen, and Susannah's children were George Martin, John Martin, Richard Martin, Esther Blaisdale/Jameson,Jane Hadley, abagail Martin, William Martin and Samuel Martin. Susannah was hanged in the Salem witch trials as a witch. Who would accuse a mother of 8 as being a witch? geez
